Biography:

Ben Locker has lived in Colchester since 2009 and represented Mile End since 2015. He is married and his two children attend a local primary school. 

In 1997, Ben graduated from St Andrews University with an MA (Hons) in Medieval History and qualified as a history teacher at UEA the following year. He is now a copywriter and co-founder of the Professional Copywriters’ Network, the first ever UK-wide association for copywriters in all fields. Since leaving school he has worked as a factory operative, forester, road sweeper, petrol station attendant and care assistant. 

Ben is keen to help Colchester restore its position as the finest town in East Anglia, and is very happy to help Mile End residents with any issues they may have. Please get in touch with him using the contact details on this page.
