Ben Locker has lived in Colchester since 2009 and represented Mile End since 2015. He is married and his two children attend a local primary school.
In 1997, Ben graduated from St Andrews University with an MA (Hons) in Medieval History and qualified as a history teacher at UEA the following year. He is now a copywriter and co-founder of the Professional Copywriters’ Network, the first ever UK-wide association for copywriters in all fields. Since leaving school he has worked as a factory operative, forester, road sweeper, petrol station attendant and care assistant.
