31/10/2022  £452.79 The money will be spent on a new bench for installation at the play area in the Parish of Chappel. This is a well-used area, especially before and after school and they would like to purchase a bench which is made from 100% recycled plastic and fully recyclable material. This will also require very low maintenance to the Parish Council, as it is graffiti resistant, will not rot and will not require staining or painting. A picture and details of the bench can be found at: https://www.bin-shop.co.uk/seating/benches-and-seats/moulded-seatChappel Parish Council
31/10/2022  £777 The contribution will be spent on the "Memories of Living in Wakes Colne" oral history project. The promoters need room hire, microphones, hard disc drives and help from an organisation called Colchester Recalled who will advise and ensure that the recordings are properly archived. Interviews with older residents will be conducted by volunteers. Wakes Colne Parish Council
