Parish and Town Councillors are required by the Localism Act 2011 to register their pecuniary and other interests within 28 days of their election or appointment to office.
They are also required to register pecuniary interests, of which they are aware, of their spouse or partner living with them, if applicable. These details are held in a Register of Members' Interests maintained by Colchester Borough Council's Monitoring Officer. The Register contains those interests listed in paragraphs 6,7 and 8 of Colchester Borough Council's Code of Conduct ( which has been adopted by all Parish and Town Council's in the Borough) , namely: Disclosable Pecuniary interests
